The opportunity: your next adventure awaits

Do you want to understand the factors that drive successful financial processes, and maximize synergies and financial benefits? As a Trainee, you will support our Process Excellence team in understanding the challenges our clients face and collaborate with their finance teams to optimize their financial, and non-financial processes and reporting. You will assist the team in the analysis of clients' existing business procedures and in contributing with potential solutions, ensuring that the proposed solutions align with the goals of the client's organization. The Process Excellence team works with projects ranging from financial transformation to IPOs, and with a wide range of clients across industries. In addition, you will get the opportunity to collaborate and network with other advisory teams within EY on topics like sustainability and financial reporting.

 

The key services we offer to our clients focus on the following areas:

 

  • Defining and documenting finance and sustainability reporting processes
  • Solving specific financial process related challenges
  • Assessing risk management practices and internal controls
  • Planning and implementing finance operating model changes
  • Managing finance organization changes arising from mergers, acquisitions or divestitures, as well as IPOs
  • Supporting with financial technology assessment and implementation

    • Suitable education i.e. a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance or similar
    • Good written and oral communication skills in English, and preferably Finnish (though not a requirement)

In addition to Process Excellence our service line also provides expertise within Accounting & Treasury, Interim services and Sustainability.   • If selected from the first screening, you’ll receive an invitation to our on-demand video assessments and gamified ability testing. This is done in collaboration with our service provider, HireVue. Please note that the ability test and video assessment are part of the recruitment process and need to be completed in order to be considered in this process.
  • A case day will be held in October during week 41 or 42.
  • The work would start in January or September 2025, with some flexibility on the specific starting date.
