Our Corporate Tax department consists of the following families:

• EY Private, supporting entrepreneurs, private businesses, and their owners with tax advisory services.
• Global Compliance & Reporting, assisting (international) companies with their compliance obligations and tax controversy.
• International Tax Services, advising on international tax aspects.

For our tax practice in our Diegem & Ghent offices, we are looking for an intern in Business Tax Compliance to support our team and to guide our clients into the complex era of tax compliance.

Your key responsibilities

As an intern in the Business Tax department, you will support the team in their day-to-day job and help them with preparatory work. Your internship will consist of supporting the following tasks that are part of the package of our team members:

• Ensure our clients comply with all relevant Belgian tax compliance obligations and assist them with day-to-day Belgian tax compliance services, including assistance during tax audits.
• Identify and implement process improvements in our clients’ tax compliance processes.
• Pro-actively follow up, communicate and collaborate with the team regarding your assigned client portfolio.
• Be eager to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest changes within the Belgian tax legislation.
• Adopt the latest technologies and digital transformations.
• Assist with the preparation of client proposals, internal and external presentations, and client meetings.
• You will stay up-to-date regarding market changes and develop a broader knowledge around your client portfolio.
• Work effectively as a member of a worldwide network of professional advisors, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress

Your profile

• Finishing your Bachelor in accountancy, tax and /or finance /Master’s degree in economics(a supplementary degree in fiscal matters is a plus).
• Client and market focused, team player, stress resistant and an excellent communicator.
• Desire to learn and develop into the role.
• Fluent in French or Dutch and good knowledge of English.
