Your new job | About your main responsibilities
As a AI & Data Consultant, you’ll be part of the AI & Data Team within Consulting. In this role, you’ll help companies transform into smart organizations by unlocking the hidden value of data. This involves all possible facets of data & analytics: think of data engineering, dashboarding, process mining, data science, machine learning, data strategy, data governance, master data management, and data quality, as well as themes like artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things. As a consultant, you receive broad training to help clients solve the most difficult and urgent problems using data, seize new opportunities, and realize innovative products and services.
More precisely, you will:

  • Look for concrete information solutions that deliver immediate results for our clients by translating information needs into creating models, dashboards, and management reports.
  • Work on projects where you are responsible for analyzing large, diverse datasets, building models, setting up data flows, and creating dashboards, with the ultimate goal of creating concrete value for the client.
  • Use various tools such as Python, R, SQL, Spotfire, Tableau, and PowerBI for data analysis and dashboard creation.
  • Work in multidisciplinary teams and with the client, which requires you to communicate your findings clearly.
  • Add concrete value and surprise the client with your specialized knowledge!

Our AI & Data team currently consists of over 65 enthusiastic and motivated colleagues! This may sound overwhelming, but we ensure that we meet weekly (formally and informally) to stay updated on the latest developments. Our team falls under EY Tech Consultancy and is currently one of the key pillars within EY. Worldwide, one in three employees works in Tech, and EY has more than 50,000 Data Scientists!

Your Office - Amsterdam
Our Amsterdam office is located at the Zuidas: a bustling area full of companies. In our Cross Towers, we welcome up to 1,500 people every day. For a breathtaking view of the city, head to the 22nd floor. Collaboration takes on a new meaning in our Wavespace, a high-tech environment that connects clients and colleagues virtually across the globe.

Your skills and strengths | About your unique contribution

  • A completed master’s degree in the field of beta-related or technical studies.
  • You are communicatively strong in Dutch and / or English.
  • You have demonstrable affinity with, and interest in consultancy, particularly in Data Analytics and Data Science.
  • You have worked with Python, R, or SQL during your studies.

Ready to shape your future with us? | About your application process

1. For this vacancy, we ask you to upload a motivation letter along with your CV. This gives you the opportunity to show us your drive, motivation, and personality. At EY, we support the use of AI tools like ChatGPT, as long as your own tone and unique personality remain visible.

2. Our first contact: After your application, we will review your CV and motivation. If we see a possible match, you will be invited for a coffee chat with one of the consultants of the team.

3. First interview & Assessment: When the coffee chat has a positive outcome, you will be invited for the assessment and first interview. Before the interview, we’ll ask you to complete an online assessment. Not a standard questionnaire, but a game-based assessment focusing on both your cognitive skills and behavioral preferences. We’ll discuss the results during the interview, which will include a colleague from the relevant department. This mutual introduction is a chance for us to get to know you, and for you to ask any questions you have.

4. Second interview: If we see a match and you’re still enthusiastic, we’ll invite you for a second interview. This interview also includes a business case and dives deeper into the role and other relevant topics. A final interview may also follow.

5. We’re a match. You’ll receive an offer, and we’ll perform a pre-employment screening. Then your new adventure begins. Welcome to EY!
