Job Purpose:

The intern will be part of the GDS Consulting Services team, contributing to various database projects

Responsibilities:

Client Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate as a team member on El implementation projects.
  • Provide technical best practices at the product and design level.
  • Communicate effectively with onsite coordinators.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and provide regular status updates to the lead.

People Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to building a quality culture.
  • Foster teamwork within the organization.
  • Participate in organization-wide initiatives.

Technical Skills Requirements:

  • Education: BE/BTech/MCA/MBA (freshers or candidates with 0-1 years of experience).

Core Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL and procedural SQL languages.
  • Knowledge of Python, R, or other scripting/programming languages.
  • Basic data analysis and data handling skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and the ability to build code logic.
  • Understanding of software development best practices.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong business communication and consulting skills.
  • Ability to work as a team player.

Specific Role Requirements:

  • Analyze and design database objects using technologies like SQL Server, Oracle, and Teradata.
  • Hands-on experience with Unix scripting.
  • Develop logical and physical data flow models for applications.
  • Exposure to tools like SSIS, SSRS, DB2, and ETL tools (e.g., SAP BODS, DataStage) is a plus.

  • Academic Performance:
    • No backlogs
    • CGPA > 7.5
  • Graduation Year: 2024 or 2025
