Within this group, there is currently a possibility for an intern to join the Immigration team.
Your Key Responsibilities
- You will be an intrinsic part of the client team and will be in the forefront of communication with clients, expats, authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Together with the client team, you will advise our clients on the best available immigration route and the impact thereof on their business.
- Together with our offshore team, you will be responsible to prepare and follow up on a number of client files (work permit, single permit, visa, residence permit, etc.)
- You will learn to make the proper assessment, prepare your files and follow up on these files with the competent authorities. In doing so, you will guide the client and their expat population through the Belgian immigration process.
- You will assist in knowledge management and co-author local and global communication in regards to legislative changes and other updates. You will also be expected to proactively follow up on relevant legislative changes.
Your Profile
- You are currently finalizing your bachelor’s degree ‘Legal Practice’ or you have a bachelor’s degree in law and will obtain your master Law degree.
- You are available as soon as possible.
- You are fluent in English (written and oral communication skills) and French or Dutch.
- You are well organized, precise and you can prioritize where needed.
- You are client minded and a real team player.
- You like to communicate and are not afraid to be in contact with the authorities and at a later stage, with the clients.
- You don’t shy away from responsibility and a challenge.
- You are inquisitive and continuously try to improve your skills and knowledge.
- You want to become a trusted business advisor and an expert in Belgian labour migration law and the European legal framework regarding labour migration and business travelers.
