EY’s Consulting Services is seeking enthusiastic trainees to immerse themselves in the world of management consulting. As a trainee, you’ll get to collaborate with diverse teams based on your unique skills and interests. During your trainee period you’ll be introduced to consultant life and provided with support by our experienced professionals. As a trainee your daily tasks will vary according to the team and the projects, you’re working in. Your tasks may range from preparing proposals and other materials, analysing different types of data, preparing materials for client meetings, facilitating client workshops and/or supporting project management office in different engagements. You will utilise and develop your project management skills, presentation, and communication skills as well as your skills with Excel and PowerPoint. If you have advanced technical skills, you could also be involved in for example data analytics or cybersecurity (ethical hacking and/or penetration testing) or even SAP.

People Consulting

We focus on helping organizations manage and optimize their human resources. We advise our clients on HR operating models, HR processes, HR transformation, organizational design, HR transactions, reward consulting, change management and future of work.

Business Consulting

  • Business Transformation: We help companies to navigate dynamic market environments by defining and delivering high impact transformation. Our focus areas are 1) Driving growth through commercialization 2) Shaping markets with Customer-Centricity and 3) Streamlining company operations. Some of our key services are Operating model renewals, Process and performance optimization, Strategy development, Product-Market-Fit and Customer Experience modelling.

  • Finance: We support our global clients across industries in transforming and digitalizing their finance (talousfunktio) operations, thus maximizing the value finance delivers to our customers’ business operations. We support our clients within a broad range of different topics/areas, such as:

    • Finance function strategy and operating model
    • Optimization of finance processes, organizations, and applications
    • Business controlling and performance management
    • CFO led sustainability
  • Supply Chain & Operations: We help businesses optimize their supply chain processes and operational efficiency. We work on areas such as strategic sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, demand planning, and inventory management.

Technology Consulting

  • Technology Strategy and Transformation: We help organizations understand and navigate the impact of new technologies on their operations, strategy, and value proposition. Our skills and competencies lie in Technology Strategy & Organization, Architecture, IT Business Operations, and IT sourcing, cloud, Delivery Strategies, Transformation Support and Operational Delivery, Software Selection and Procurement, and Project Portfolio Management and Tools.

  • Cybersecurity: We adopt a holistic, end-to-end approach to cybersecurity. We understand the importance of integrating cybersecurity measures throughout the corporate strategy, from risk assessment and strategy development to implementation and ongoing management. We implement strategies and technologies to secure digital infrastructures, handle sensitive data with care, and foster a culture of security awareness within the client's organization. Our exceptional team has advanced capabilities in delivering comprehensive offensive and defensive cybersecurity services. Services include large-scale cybersecurity transformation programs threat intelligence, incident response and vulnerability management, security risk management, data protection and privacy, identity and access management, and cybersecurity architecture. We also have a deep understanding of a wide range of technologies and sectors which we leverage to identify real world risks and business impacts.

  • AI and Data: We are specialized in data, analytics and AI, drawing insights from vast amounts of data to help businesses make informed decisions. We combine data skills with a deep understanding of various business sectors to provide transformative and effective solutions. FSO Consulting

Within our Financial Services Organization (FSO), which is represented within Business Consulting, Technology Consulting, and Risk Consulting, we work specifically with clients in the financial industry; banking, insurance, and wealth management.

  • Business Transformation: We assist financial service industry companies in redefining their business models, strategies, and operations to adapt to shifts in customer needs, technology, market conditions, and industry trends. We offer services such as organizational redesign, process improvement, customer experience and transformation program design and delivery to help businesses become more efficient, agile, and competitive.

  • Technology Consulting:

    • AI and Data: We are specialized in data science, drawing insights from vast amounts of data to help businesses make informed decisions. We combine innovative AI techniques with a deep understanding of various business sectors to provide transformative and effective solutions.
    • Cybersecurity: We work to protect businesses by managing cybersecurity risks, defending against threats, and responding to cyber incidents. We implement strategies and technologies to secure digital infrastructures, handle sensitive data with care, and foster a culture of security awareness within the client's organization.

  • Risk Consulting: We help our clients to identify, assess, and manage financial and operational risks. We provide guidance on risk management frameworks, regulatory compliance, risk modelling, and mitigation strategies.

In your application, we would like you to specify which of our consulting areas you are most interested in.

The length of the traineeship is 3 to 4 months. We offer a part-time traineeship starting in January 2025.

What we look for

  • Suitable education in economics, social sciences, humanities, mathematics, statistics, advanced analytics, computer science, information systems, engineering, accounting, business analytics, or a similar field. You are preferably soon finalizing your Master’s degree or have already graduated.

  • Good skills in MS Office. Other technical skills (programming languages, analytics tools etc.) are considered an asset.

  • Fluent skills in Finnish and English (written and oral). Teams that are also open for non-Finnish speakers are: Supply Chain & Operations, Technology Transformation and Cybersecurity

  • You have an agile, growth-oriented mindset. What you know matters. But the right mindset is just as important in determining success.
