Through a traineeship at EY Consulting, you will gain a unique insight into the consulting life and how we assist our clients with improvement and growth. The opportunity: your next adventure awaits

As a trainee, your daily tasks will vary depending on your team and projects. You may contribute to preparing proposals and client materials, analysing data, supporting client meetings and workshops, and assisting with project management activities. You will develop your project management, presentation, communication, Excel and PowerPoint skills. If you have advanced technical skills, you may also work with data analytics, cybersecurity such as ethical hacking or penetration testing, or SAP.

Business Consulting

Technology Consulting

We help organizations understand and respond to the strategic and operational impact of new technologies. Our expertise covers technology strategy, architecture, IT operations, cloud delivery, project portfolio management, cybersecurity, data protection, identity management, and incident response. We also support data, analytics, and AI initiatives by helping businesses turn large datasets into insights through strategy, governance, design, and implementation.

People Consulting

We focus on helping organizations manage and optimize their human resources. We advise our clients on HR operating models, HR processes, HR transformation, organizational design, HR transactions, reward consulting, change management and future of work.

Risk Consulting

We help our clients to build agile and risk-aware organizations that make better decisions to achieve their strategic objectives. With us you can develop your competencies e.g., in the field of risk management, internal audit, internal controls, and GRC solutions.

FSO Consulting

Within our Financial Services Organization (FSO), we support clients in banking, insurance, and wealth management in adapting to changing customer needs and market conditions. We help redefine business models, strategies, and operations through organizational redesign, process improvement, customer experience transformation, AI and data science, cybersecurity, and risk consulting. Our work covers digital infrastructure security, risk management, regulatory compliance, and mitigation strategies for financial and operational risks.

• Qualifications:
  • Graduates or soon-to-be graduates in economics, social sciences, humanities, mathematics, statistics, advanced analytics, computer science, information systems, engineering, accounting, business analytics, or a similar field. You are preferably soon finalizing your Master’s degree or have already graduated.
  • Good skills in MS Office. Other technical skills (programming languages, analytics tools etc.) are considered an asset.
  • Fluent skills in English (written and oral). Finnish language skills are considered an asset.

What you can expect:

1. To apply, please submit your resume, transcripts and cover letter written in English by 20.9.2026 on our career’s website. Please specify in your cover letter which consulting area you’re most interested in.
2. You will receive an invitation to our combined cognitive ability test (Cappfinity). If you apply for multiple positions, you only need to take the test once. We recommend using a PC for the best possible experience.
3. If selected from the first screening, you’ll receive an invitation via email to our pre-recorded video interview. The video interview must be completed by Tuesday, 22.9.2026.
4. We will invite the most suitable candidates to the Case Day which takes place at EY Helsinki office on Tuesday 6.10.2026.
5. Selected candidates will be required to complete a background check, including:
   1. Submission of a study transcript or degree certificate
   2. Verification of work permit in Finland
6. The role-specific hourly wage is determined based on completed study credits and ranges between 15,50–18,70€/h. We will review the official transcript of records of all new employees before the employment begins.
