We are now looking for trainees to join our Transaction Law and Corporate Law teams of experienced and talented legal colleagues.
In Finland, EY Law employs around 50 corporate lawyers providing comprehensive corporate legal services, supported by a strong tax practice and a technology enabled legal managed services team.
Our Transaction Law team advises clients throughout the M&A lifecycle, while our Corporate Law team provides day today corporate and commercial advice, including governance, reorganizations, commercial agreements, and regulatory compliance.
As a legal trainee, you will support our lawyers with research, due diligence, drafting legal documents, preparing client materials, and liaising with authorities. You will have the opportunity to work flexibly across practice areas based on your interests, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and gain exposure beyond a traditional traineeship in a growing international practice.
We are looking for trainees for the following periods:
- September 2026 – March 2027 and
- March – September 2027
The start date is flexible based on your preferences. The position is based in Helsinki, with a hybrid working model allowing partial remote work. Legal trainees work full-time, with flexibility to accommodate studies. You will gain hands-on experience in legal projects, working on meaningful assignments with supportive colleagues in a dynamic business environment.
EY commits to your personal development – many of our trainees have retained junior legal counsel positions with EY after their graduation.
What we look for:
- Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an academic degree in law with at least 180 ECTs
- Deep interest in business law and motivation to develop asalegal professional
- Excellent communication skills in both Finnish and English, other languages are considered as an asset
- Can-do attitude,flexibility and ability to adapt to new challenges as a true team player
- Advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ideally, you’ll also have
- Previous work experience in the legal industry or related field
- A keen interest in legal technologies that enable automation and digitalization of every day legal work
