The opportunity
Within EY's Assurance service line, our valuation expert team supports the audit procedure when valuation expertise is required. Our valuation team is specialized in business, real estate, fixed-income security and derivative valuation.
The valuation team is part of the Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) sub-service line, where accounting professionals provide advisory services encompassing accounting and regulatory support on accounting change and special matters; accounting processes and controls support; GAAP conversion and implementation; on call financial reporting advice; and transaction accounting and financial reporting assistance.
Your Key Responsibilities
As our colleague, you will gain experience from working on a wide variety of assignments.
- Participating and assisting in valuation and financial analysis.
- Participating in the formulation of applicable valuation approaches and assumptions.
- Critical assessment of audit clients’ valuation analysis and business/financial plans.
- Preparing valuation reports/memorandums for financial reporting purposes.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- College / University degree in the field of Finance, Accounting, Applied Economics or Financial Mathematics (applicants with ongoing studies can join our team in intern position).
- Experience or studies in business valuation
- Deep understanding of finance and accounting
- Strong analytical skills
- Financial modeling skills is an advantage, including experience building models from scratch in MS Excel
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English and Hungarian
- Proactive, flexible and team-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Hungarian
- Interns must commit to work at least ca. 30 hours per week on average
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Real estate market and valuation knowledge
- Experience in audit, consultancy, accounting services or in a large and dynamic organizations in or around the finance field (big4 experience is an advantage)
- Knowledge/interest in financial derivative instruments.
- Knowledge of business trends, emerging technical and industry developments
