The Opportunity:
Join Global Financial Services (GFS) and you will work with multi-disciplinary teams from around the world to deliver a global perspective. We are the only professional services organisation who has a separate business dedicated exclusively to the financial services marketplace dealing with asset management, banking and capital markets, insurance and private equity.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the analysis, design, and implementation of technology solutions for wealth and asset management clients.
- Assisting in the configuration and deployment of platforms such as portfolio management systems, CRM solutions, and deal workflow management tools.
- Gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements, translating them into solution designs and technical specifications.
- Participating in project delivery activities including testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and change management.
- Preparing project documentation, status reports, client presentations, and training materials.
- Collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities and technology-driven solutions.
- Conducting research on emerging technologies, market trends, and regulatory developments affecting the financial services industry.
- Supporting business development initiatives, proposals, client workshops, and thought leadership activities.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in digital transformation and technology consulting within the financial services sector, particularly wealth and asset management.
- Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, C#, or similar technologies.
- Understanding of databases, SQL, data modelling, and data integration concepts.
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Understanding of wealth management, asset management, or broader financial services operations would be advantageous.
- A proactive learning mindset with a passion for technology, innovation, and continuous improvement.
