EY Suriname location is currently recruiting for Audit professionals.

Your key responsibilities

  • Recognizing potential audit issues or unusual relationships from basic analysis of the financial statements and communicating them to the team.
  • Clearly and accurately documenting the execution of specific audit procedures as defined by the engagement objectives, client's engagement history, and planned audit approach.
  • Challenging procedures used in the past and attempt to enhance audit techniques.
  • Demonstrating professionalism and competence in the client's environment.
  • Maintaining a strong client focus, being responsive to client requests, and developing/ maintaining productive working relationships with client personnel.
  • Staying informed of current business/economic developments relevant to the client's business.
  • Developing people through teamwork, integrity, and leadership.
  • Collaborating with team members to set goals and responsibilities.
  • Contributing ideas/opinions to the audit teams and listen/respond to other team members' views.
  • Using technology to continually learn, sharing knowledge with team members, and enhancing service delivery.
  • Bringing potential opportunities to the team's attention.
  • Seeking, developing, and presenting ideas to apply EY's knowledge and services.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • An undergraduate degree in Accounting, and/or currently pursuing a professional accounting designation such as ACCA, CA, CPA etc.
  • Experience in a related field would be considered an asset.
