What you will do
When you join EY's Transaction Economics Group, you’ll analyze structured financial transactions across diverse industries, employing your expertise in economics and finance. You'll work closely with clients and EY teams, using advanced modeling techniques for financial and economic analysis. Your role involves creating financial models, researching market trends, and enhancing your understanding of tax policies and their business implications.
Your key responsibilities
Develop financial models and tools to support client transactions such as asset acquisitions, dispositions, and corporate reorganizations.
Use corporate finance principles to evaluate the economic impact of deal structures.
Create reports and presentations for clients.
Participate in all transaction stages, from evaluating options to deal closure, and compile related documentation.
Job requirements and preferences
Required qualifications
A predicted undergraduate or graduate degree with a concentration in Finance, Financial Engineering, or a related field; supported by a strong academic record.
Proficient with MS Office, including MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
Demonstrated writing, analytical and problem-solving skills.
The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
Preferred qualifications
Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
Programing skills (VB and/or Matlab), and familiarity with other financial software packages.
Familiarity with Bloomberg data terminals and other market research tools and exposure to fixed income analytics and option pricing models are a plus.
