You’re at the beginning of your career and looking for both security and freedom. Sound familiar? At EY, you get both. You learn on the job, develop lifelong skills, and build a career that suits you, together with your colleagues. With plenty of guidance and space to discover what really matters to you. You're not just starting a job, you're starting your future.

Your new job | About your main responsibilities
You will be part of the Operational Tax Team, which operates at the forefront of regulatory change, helping clients respond to increasing demands for tax transparency and compliance in a global landscape.

We work with a broad range of clients in the financial sector, including banks, insurers, investment funds, (emerging) payment service providers, asset managers, FinTechs, and pension funds. Within the Operational Tax Team, you will support the team by assisting in analysing tax transparency legislation and contributing to the implementation of practical, future‑proof solutions. You will also gain exposure to interactions with the Dutch Tax Authority and other relevant stakeholders.

In addition, we have a strong and rapidly growing practice supporting operators of digital platforms that operate across multiple countries and industries. These clients rely on us to help them understand and comply with (new) international and domestic information reporting frameworks around income generated through digital platforms, such as DAC7 and other tax transparency regimes. These platform operators are active in a wide range of industries, including e‑commerce, travel and accommodation, transportation, and other gig and sharing economy sectors.

Looking ahead, our practice is expected to expand further with developments at the intersection of tax and technology. One key area of anticipated growth is crypto‑asset reporting and transparency, driven by new regulatory frameworks such as the OECD’s CARF (Crypto‑Asset Reporting Framework), the EU’s DAC8, and similar domestic initiatives. This evolution will broaden the scope of our work and provides a strong environment to learn and develop.

By delivering clear and practical solutions, we enable organizations to operate confidently across borders, adapt to evolving legislation, and contribute to greater transparency and integrity in the global economy. As a new joiner to the team, you will be closely involved in our projects while developing your technical knowledge and gaining hands‑on experience in an international setting.

Your new team | About your colleagues and the office
The Operational Taxes Team focuses on tax transparency legislation and is unique within EY Netherlands due to its combination of deep tax expertise, consulting, and business transformation, supported by technology. The team’s primary focus is on financial institutions, digital platforms, fintechs, and the crypto industry, while also supporting the broader international EY network.

CTORS stands for Customer Tax and Operational Reporting Services and is a sub-service line within the Tax service line. The team advises EY clients on how to remain compliant with tax transparency legislation and supports them in meeting their obligations to report customer information to tax authorities, most commonly the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration.
