While our focus is on the financial services sector, including banking, insurance, and wealth & asset management (WAM), you’ll have the opportunity to work across all competencies within EY’s broader EY-Parthenon offering including due diligence, valuation, M&A and strategy execution.

We advise clients on when and how to buy, sell or merge to improve growth, competitiveness and profitability. As a future Strategy and Transactions Consultant, you will help our financial services clients in the following domains:
- Buy and sell-side Due Diligence (financial, commercial, etc.);
- M&A lead advisory;
- Capital management for banks and insurance companies;
- Post-merger preparation;
- Portfolio reviews and business model assessments;
- Strategy definition, growth and new market entries.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Help buyers or sellers manage the transaction process from deal sourcing through post-acquisition integration;
- Work on valuations or fairness opinions for transaction, statutory (IFRS/IAS), fiscal and strategic purposes;
- Develop and review financial models;
- Contribute to strategic engagements in the financial sector, from both a qualitative and quantitative points of view;
- Perform research and support the development of points of view on the Belgian financial sector and its underlying trends, and analyzing specific financial institutions;
- Act as a first-line contact for a variety of top-class financial services clients and maintain an excellent relationship with our clients and various stakeholders.
Your Profile
You have/are:
- A Master’s Degree in Economics or related area (a specialization in Corporate Finance is an asset);
- Fluency in French and with a proficient level of business English, and a good knowledge of Dutch is considered a strong plus;
- A strong team spirit, balanced by a healthy sense of autonomy;
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, conceptual thinking and pragmatic approach;
- Solid communication and presentation skills;
- A keen interest to learn more about the Financial Services market in Belgium and beyond;
- Available to start in October 2026.
